They play a crucial role in the cohesion of our society: Nevertheless, the millions of employees who work in so-called blue collar professions are often overlooked – including in recruiting. The strategies and measures of many companies are often designed solely to attract employees who carry out traditional office work. This is despite the fact that blue collar employees, whose jobs predominantly involve physical labor, are desperately needed in many areas.
A change in the illustrative approach was a first step to create a change of perspective – the predominant white collar perspective got not only expanded but also experienced a sensitive take on to gender topics and prejudice in blue collar professions.
